more CO² emissions than it creates, achieving a “net negative” carbon footprint

MTR Western has reduced its emissions by more than 50% over the past 24 months by buying 74 new motorcoaches outfitted with next generation, EGR engines. In the coming 12 months, additional new motorcoach deliveries will reduce our emissions again by 50%. Further, we offset the emissions we're unable to eliminate by purchasing forest carbon offsets from the Pacific Forest Trust. By purchasing excess carbon offsets, MTR Western achieves a “net negative” carbon footprint.
